Assure macadamization in coming weeks

Awantipora: Days after the ‘Kashmir Vision’ carried a story about the dilapidated condition of the Dangerpora-Padgamporaroad, authorities repaired the road and assured that it will be macadamized in coming summer.

Locals said that the road from Padgampora to Peer Mohalla Dangerpora was full of potholes due to which they were suffering a lot especially during wet climate.

They said that the road is of vital importance as it connects the area with two primary schools, one middle school, Ziyarat Shareef, two panchayats besides their agriculture farm.

Syed Rashid, a local social activist said that children and elderly people were suffering more due to the bumpy condition of the road.

He said that it was macadamized three years back but it didn’t last for long and even repair work wasn’t taken up.

He said that after repeated requests to the government, authorities finally started repair work soon after the issue was reported by a local news organization.

He while thanking ‘Kashmir Vision’ said the after repairs on the road; locals have heaved a sigh of relief.

Locals said that they are thankful to the media especially the ‘Kashmir Vision’ for highlighting the issue while requesting authorities to macadamize the road as soon as possible.
