Hardumir Tral residents demand repair of road
Pulwama: The residents of Hardumir Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district have demanded repairing of the road connecting their village, alleging that the road is lying in a dilapidated condition.
The residents of the area complained of facing inconvenience while travelling through the road as according to them the road has developed potholes which make it difficult to drive smoothly on it.
They said that all roads in the area have been macadamized but this part has been left out due to unknown reasons.
Abdul Salam, an elderly resident of the area said they are unable to understand what to do as whenever they visit R&B department they are being asked to visit PMGSY and despite visiting the PMGSY office, their demand has remained unfulfilled.
Locals said that this part of the road that is connecting Tral with Anantnag was blacktopped several years back but it hasn’t been repaired or blacktopped since then.
Nazir Ahmad, a local driver said that the road is currently full of potholes and is giving tough times to locals as well as commuters.
“We have approached the concerned authorities several times requesting them to initiate repairing of the road but to no avail,” he said.
Locals said that despite bringing this issue in notice of concerned authorities several times nothing has been done so far.
They requested higher ups especially Deputy Commissioner Pulwama to look into the matter and take immediate steps in this regard.
