Police arrests drug peddler in Baramulla
Srinagar: Police arrested drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesman said Tuesday.
He said that a police party at a checkpoint established at Kralhar Baramulla intercepted one suspicious person. During search, 1.5 Kgs of Poppy Straw like substance was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Syed Asif Hussain son of Syed Sabir Hussain resident of Kamalkote Uri. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Baramulla where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Baramulla and investigations have been initiated, the spokesman added.
