Police seizes four vehicles, arrests four drivers in Baramulla
Srinagar: Cracking a whip on illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police have seized four vehicles and arrested as many drivers in Baramulla, a police spokesman said Tuesday.
He said that a police party seized for vehicles (1Excavator, 3 tractors) and arrested 4 drivers, involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Juhama and Darpora Kynzer Baramulla.
The accused drivers have been identified as Fayaz Ahmad Sofi son of Ghulam Mohiuddin, Parvaiz Ahmad Sofi son of Abdul Rehman both residents of Juhama Baramulla, Tariq Ahmad Bhat son of Bashir Ahmad resident of Devpora and Waseem Ahmad Reshi son of Abdul Ahad resident of Pariswani, the spokesman said.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in respective police stations and further investigation has been taken up, he added.
