Member DDC Rafiabad distributes cricket kits to various cricket clubs
BARAMULLA: In a commendable initiative, Parmeet Kour, Member of the District Development Council Rafiabad, took a significant step by distributing ten cricket kits to various cricket clubs at Dangiwacha Rafiabad Baramulla. The distribution ceremony was organized in presence of District Youth Service and Sports Officer and other distinguished officers.
Valued at 9.33 lacs, the sports equipment was sourced through the Youth Service and Sports Department from the Capex Budget DDC grants allocated for the fiscal year 2023-24. This allocation underscores the firm commitment to promote sports and foster community engagement in the Rafiabad district.
The expenditure of funds for sports equipment highlight the importance given to youth development and recreational activities at the community level.
This distribution of cricket kits aim to encourage active participation of local youth in sports activities and explore their talent.
On this occasion, Member DDC Parmeet Kour expressed that “Youth is the future of our society, and it is our duty to shield them from social evils.
By connecting them with sports, we provide a constructive pathway for their energy, nurturing a healthier and more resilient community.”
