Police arrests two drug peddlers in Kulgam
Srinagar: Police arrested two drug peddlers in Kulgam and recovered contraband substance from their possession, a police spokesman said Tuesday.
He said that a police party during patrolling at Bypass Kulgam near Chatabal Bridge, intercepted two suspicious persons identified as Mohammad Sadiq Waza son of Ghulam Muhammad Waza resident of Ziyaratgali Kulgam and Bashir Ahmad Sheikh son of Gull Mohd Sheikh resident of Chawalgam who after noticing Police party tried to flee from the spot but were apprehended tactfully. During search, officers were able to recover seven Kilogram of Grinded Cannabis Powder filled in the bags from their possession.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 09/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kulgam and investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
