Police arrests notorious drug peddler in Baramulla
Srinagar: Police arrested a notorious drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from his possession, a police spokesman said Monday.
He said that a police party at a checkpoint established at Juhama Market, intercepted a person identified as Mohammad Ayoub Shah son of Abdul Khaliq resident of Ladoora Rafiabad. During search, 270 grams of brown sugar like contraband substance was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station Baramulla where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Baramulla and investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
