DDC Baramulla distributes sports kits to local sports clubs
BARAMULLA: District Development Councellor (DDC), Qurat ul Bashir of Baramulla constituency, took a proactive step Saturday by distributing sports kits to 13 local sports clubs in the adjacent areas of the constituency.
The sports kits, aimed at fostering a culture of sports and physical well-being, were procured through grants from various sources, including the District Capex Budget, Area Development Fund, and DDC Grants for the fiscal year 2023-24.
This initiative reflects the commitment of DDC Baramulla to promote sports at the grassroots level, providing essential resources to local clubs and enhancing opportunities for aspiring athletes.
The utilization of diverse funding channels underscores the councellor’s dedication to maximizing community impact and ensuring a holistic approach to development.
While speaking on the occasion, She extended gratitude to the funding sources that made this initiative possible. DDC said that she looks forward to witnessing the growth and success of the local sports clubs in the coming years.
