Police arrests two drug peddlers in Baramulla
Srinagar: Police arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from their possession, a police spokesman said Monday.
He said that a police party at a checkpoint established at Azadgunj Baramulla, intercepted a person identified as Nazir Ahmad Gagroo son of Abdul Khaliq resident of Arampora Azadgunj Baramulla. During search, 20 grams of Brown Sugar was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Baramulla where he remains in custody.
Similarly, a police party at a checkpoint established at Bijhama Baramulla, intercepted a person identified as Iqbal War son of Ahmad War resident of Gujjarpati Lachipplora Bijhama. During search, 3.2 Kgs of Cannabis Powder was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Bijhama where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at PS Baramulla and PS Bijhama and investigations have been initiated, the spokesman added.
