Police arrests black marketeer in Baramulla
Srinagar: Police in Baramulla successfully apprehended a black marketer involved in the illegal sale of petroleum products, a police spokesman said Thursday.
He said that a police arrested a shopkeeper identified as Shabir Ahmad Parray son of Ghulam Ahmad resident of Drooru Tangmarg for his involvement in selling Petroleum products at exorbitant rates at his shop at Tangmarg Baramulla.
Officers also recovered 210 litres of Diesel from his shop. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody, the spokesman said.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Tangmarg and investigation has been initiated, he added.
