Tral residents demand slaughter house in the area
Pulwama: The residents of Tral town in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district have demanded setting up of a slaughter house in the area.
People selling meat in Tral town said that meat consumption continues to rise and the necessity of slaughter house becomes apparent.
They said that slaughter house is important in efficiently processing meat with ethical and environmental considerations.
The people associated with the trade added that with growing population implementing eco friendly technologies and waste management systems can minimise the environmental impact.
They further added that slaughter house remain a viral component of the meat production chain and there is immediate need of setting up the slaughter house.
They said that slaughter house must be constructed at a suitable place where people from all sides of the town can access it easily.
Meanwhile,when contacted an official of MC Tral said that they have identified land for slaughter house and very soon work is expected to start.
