Police arrests two drug peddlers in Baramulla
Srinagar: Police arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from their possession, a police spokesman said Wednesday.
He said that a police party at a checkpoint established at Ghat Palhallan Pattan intercepted two persons who were travelling on Pulsar bike bearing registration number JK01R-8327. They have been identified as Ali Mohammad Pandith son of Mohammad Ismail resident of Trikolbal Pattan and Mohammad Rafiq Ahanger son of Ghulam Mohammad resident of Mureedoora Hawal Srinagar.
During search, 1.320 Kgs of Charas Powder was recovered from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to PS Pattan where they remain in custody, the spokesman said.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Pattan and investigation has been initiated, he added.
