Police arrests drug peddler in Awantipora
Srinagar: Police have arrested a drug peddler in Awantipora and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesman said Monday.
He said that a police party arrested a drug peddler at Panzgam Crossing in Awantipora. During search, 08Kgs of Bung Chura was recovered from his possession. He has been identified as Nazir Ahmad Wagay son of Abdul Satar Wagay resident of Udipora Shahura Tehsil Litter. He has been shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 203/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
