Pulwama: The residents of Ladhoo area of Awantipora sub division in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district have demanded macadmisation of vital Lethpora-Ladhoo road which according to them is lying in a dilapidated condition.
The residents of the area said that road wasn’t macadamised for last several years due to which its condition has turned from bad to worse.
They said that part of the road from Ladhoo to Khrew has been macadamised while around three kilometres from Lethpora-Ladhoo has been left out.
Firdous Ahmad, a local resident said that this vital road from Lethpora-Ladhoo was macadamised few years back and now the road is lying in a dilapidated condition at most of the places giving tough time to locals and commuters.
He said that government must look into the issue as this road is also connecting Khrew industrial area.
The residents said the road has developed potholes at different spots and the administrations lack of attention towards this road is annoying the locals.
“We were expecting that this road will be macadamised this year but it was left unattended which shows indifferent attitude of the administration towards people of this area,” the locals said.
Despite bringing the issue into the notice of higher ups several times nothing has been done on ground, they said.
They again requested the administration to look into the matter at an earliest and repair and macadamise the road.
