Illegal extraction of minerals: Police seizes four vehicles, arrests four persons in Baramulla
Baramulla: Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police seized four vehicles and arrested four persons in Baramulla, a police spokesman said Friday.
He said that a police party seized two tractors and arrested their drivers identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Ganie son of Abdul Salam and Javid Ahmad Sheikh son of Ghulam Mohiuddin, both residents of Mehmoodpora Pattan for their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Mehmoodpora Pattan.
Similarly, police seized two vehicles (tipper and tractor) and arrested their drivers identified as Firdous Ahmad Malla son of Abdul Rehman resident of Hardu Aboora and Rameez Ahmad Shah son of Abdul Raheem resident of Batpora Kunzer involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Batpora Kunzer.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in respective police stations and investigation has been initiated.
