ARTO Baramulla, officials conduct Enforcement checking of Vehicles
Sopore: Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Baramulla, Muazzam Ali on Tuesday alongwith a team of his officials conducted Enforcement checking of Vehicles in Sopore.
The ARTO was accompanied by MVI Abdul Hamid and MVTA Naveed Raina. The team conducted Enforcement drive on Hygam Baramulla national highway and checked a number of passenger vehicles.
During the drive a number of passenger vehicles are found lacking on key parameters.
The ARTO issued on spot show cause notices to 11 violators for plying without Speed limiting devices (SLDs).
Meanwhile, the inspection team informed the people about their duties towards observing traffic norms and road safety rules while travelling.
The ARTO said that it was prime duty of the commuters to raise their voice against overloading and use of mobile phones by the drivers during driving.
He also urged people to drive carefully, avoid over speeding, use driving belts, avoid mobile phone during driving, and follow other traffic rules religiously.
