Shopian: Municipal Council Shopian( MCS) is building a multilevel car parking in Shopian town to overcome traffic congestion and provide a solution to the vehicle parking demand by the locals.

The residents of Shopian and people visiting the town said that the town usually witnesses traffic mess and it increases during peak apple harvesting season.

“The reason behind the mess is lack of parking space, mismanagement of traffic, absence of footpaths and non compliance of traffic rules by the people,” Aijaz Turray, a local resident said.
