FCS&CA organizes function to celebrate Independence Day, 2023
SRINAGAR: The Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Kashmir Tuesday celebrated Independence Day at its office premises in Shaheed Gunj Srinagar.
On the occasion, the National Flag was hoisted which was followed by the National Anthem. An Open House interaction was also held on the occasion with about 200 officials who actively participated in the celebration with great enthusiasm.
Officers delineated the ethos and the themes of the Independence day during their keynote address and emphasized the efforts of the department for initiating wide range of transparency measures, specially highlighted the role of the department in distribution of food grains in a most transparent manner through biometric and Aadhar enabled Point of Sale Devices, successfully reaching out to every nook and corner of the province to deliver the services to the most eligible persons in a hassle free manner.
On this occasion, a detailed overview of working of the department during the current year wherein several consumer friendly initiatives have been taken by the department to ensure that all the six fundamental rights of consumer are implemented were also highlighted.
