It is a well-established fact that man is a social being. His formation is in such a manner that he needs others’ help to live a comfortable life. Though the man  can survive alone as well, but in the company of nears and dears, he feels safe.

However, relationships turn toxic and it is at this time a person feels to cut himself from every kind of relationship. There are many reasons responsible that turns a fruitful relationship into a toxic one.

From the very beginning, greed and jealousy have wreaked havoc on the sweet relationships. To get material benefits at the cost of one’s relatives, has reduced the concept of relationships to nothing.

In this situation, relationships become toxic. When, instead of providing comfort, relationships hurt till the bottom, a person begins to hate the concept of relationships.

In the present age, no one is on good terms in case of relationships. Every one grumbles against another. Superficial misunderstandings are creating gulfs among the relatives. Instead of correcting them, people take it to higher heights and the result is that hardly are there any relationship that has not turned sour. As said above, when greed and jealousy occupy the crux of the relationships, it becomes quite difficult to carry on.

Once upon a time, there was sympathy, empathy, love, etc., in relationships. One relative was always available to help his or her relative to come out of any difficult situation.  Monetary help, kind words and other kinds of help were the order of the day.

If a relative was found in a difficult situation, all the relatives were found doing their best to help him or her come out of the difficult situation. But now it is gone. Gabriel Okara is right in saying that whether common people or relatives, they meet each other for a personal benefit.

Its results are obvious. People are in need of care takers. By name, there are thousands of relationships, but when it comes to helping each other, there is no one available. There is no contact between relatives today. They have closed doors for each other. In hearts, they rear grudges and don’t like to meet for a casual meeting. It has made the fruitful relationships toxic.

The need of the hour is that being a human being, we must try our best to mend ways. Time is not far away that in a large crowd of relatives, a man will find himself or herself alone, looking for companions. The Creator of the world also wants us to live like a real human being. Let us try to build fruitful relationships as much as we can.
