Man held for ‘attempting’ to murder his son in Srinagar
Srinagar: A man accused of attempting to murder his son has been arrested in Sonawar locality of Srinagar district.
The accused identified as Mehmood Ahmad Wani, son of Nazir Ahmad Wani, a resident of Sonawar Srinagar, as per a police official, stabbed his son (name withheld) after a heated argument.
The victim was soon after evacuated to a nearby hospital, where his overall condition is said to stable, the official said.
“We have registered an FIR under 121/2023 under section 307 of IPC against the accused”, the official said adding the weapon of offence has also been recovered at the site.(GNS)
