Semi-decomposed body of a man missing since February found
Srinagar: A semi-decomposed body of a man, missing since last week of February, was found in outskirts of Srinagar district on Saturday afternoon, officials said.
They said that a body was found by some locals along a road near Khushalsar. “Upon intimating the police, a team arrived at the site and took the body into its possession”, they said.
Confirming it, a police officer said that the body has been identified as that of Ghulam Ahmad Malik, son of Ghulam Hassan Malik, resident of Alamagiri Bazar Srinagar.
“The person had gone missing from his home since February 21, 2023”, the officer said.
“Investigations have been started to ascertain the circumstances leading to the death of the person”, the officer added. (GNS)
