India’s Ascendance to G-20 Presidency held at Govt BHS Anderwan
Srinagar: A cultural event under the aegies of Akashvani Srinagar was organised in the campus of Govt BHS Anderwan Ganderbal amid pleasant weather and fascinating environment of this naturally beautiful area, the school said in a statement.
The theme of the program was India’s Ascendance to G-20 Presidency. Chief Education Officer Ganderbal M A Kohli presided over the main function while Zonal Education Planning Officer Kangan Mohammad Rafiq Khatana who is also the Zonal Nodal officer of the G-20 programs graced the occasion. A large number of people from all walks of life viz Parents, PRI’s, civil society members and officials of Cultural academy and Akashvani Srinagar attended the program. Renowned educationist and litterateur of Gojjri language Abdul Majid Hasrat talked in detail about India’s G-20 Presidency, it’s aims and objectives as an international Organisation.
Akashvani’s Chief executive officer programs Waseem Ahmad remained vibrant during the entire event making it more successful. A dozen of Gojjri poets pleased the audience through their superb creative poetry items. Some recited Naats while some Gazals and general poems in native Gojjri language.
A Gojjri musical concert by well-known singers like Yasir Iqbal Wangti and Sameer Ahmad gratified the participants. Mohammad Altaf dedicated teacher of the institution performed the duties of dice-incharge during the event. Mohammad Younus Kalo organiser of the program thanked all the participants in the end through vote of thanks.
