In a first, cricketers from other states enjoy the game in Pulwama
Pulwama: For the first time ever in the history of Pulwama, players from different States visited Pulwama to take part in cricket league being played in the district.
Local players said that this is for the first time they are witnessing that players from different areas of India are here for past one week to take part in a cricket league.
They said that while playing with players of other states they are learning so many things which will help them in sorting out their weaknesses.
As infrastructure outside is better, so players come with lot of experience and share it with us and it helps local players in nourishing their talent further, they said.
Shubum, a player from Karnataka said that he has played U23 for his state this year. He said that the weather here is favourable for cricket and infrastructure needs to be further enhanced here.
“Once infrastructure will be improved, more and more players from J&K will make their presence felt at National and international level,” he said.
Asutosh, another player said that he was impressed with the bowling of local youth and if better coaching and infrastructure is provided to them they will excel and earn a name for themselves. .
He said that if infrastructure will be developed players especially bowlers can definitely make it to international level as they are very much talented.
The players further said that people and environment here is very good and they are hopeful that infrastructure alongwith good coaches and academies will be provided to local youth and they will definitely make it to the higher levels.
