Pulwama: The road connecting Diver Chattergam area with Tral town in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district is lying in dilapidated condition, locals have alleged.

The residents of the area said that the main road connecting the area with Tral town hasn’t been macadamised since last 15 years and it is in dilapidated condition adding to the sufferings of the people.

“Minor link roads are being macadamised everywhere but due to unknown reasons our road which is connecting over four hundreds of households has been left unattended,” Sukhwinder Singh, a local resident said.

He said that the road is connecting many villages with each other besides that it is the main road connecting the area with Pulwama town which is just few kilometers from the town.

Another member from the minority community said that the school going children and patients suffer immensely due to the dilapidated condition of the road.

He said that some repair work was done some time back but it didn’t last for long.

He said that since many years locals have been visiting offices of concerned authorities who assure that the road will be repaired but then nothing is being done on ground.

The residents once again urged the concerned authorities to look into the matter at an earliest and repair and macadamise the road so that locals can heave a sigh of relief.
