Police arrests three drug peddlers in Handwara
Srinagar: Police in Handwara arrested three drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession, a police spokesman said Thursday.
He said that a police party at a checkpoint established on Yaroo- Langate road, arrested three drug peddlers identified as Aijaz Ahmad Teli son of Ghulam Qadir resident of Turkpora, Umar Ahmd Lone son of Imtiyaz Ahmad resident of Kultoora and Mudasir Ahmad Lone son of Mohammad Maqbool resident of Udipora. During search, 80 grams of Charas was recovered from their possession. They have been shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.154/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Handwara and investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
