POEM: Want you to read me
By: Shahid ul Islam
O her defunct love, I am near to moribund: will you not come
I’m bidding at the same spot with pangs of grief: will you not come
I’m exterminated with your severance: will you not come
I have self-sacrificed my elegant smile for your beam: will you not come
I’m straining at the leash to hear your gratifying voice: will you not come
Shahid is orating with the moon and tallying the stars on the blue: will you not come
With whom will I unfold my vexations and torments without you: will you come to listen?
I has been shedding tears from very old lang syne:will you not come to cease my whining
With whom I will cascade in my direful epochs: will you not come to heal my gash
My eyes are trembling to see your arresting smile: will you not come to give me a solace
You have to come half way and I will come half way. So my jim-jams desolation and torments would end: will you not come to comfort me
I’m waiting to see your refulgent eyes smiles
