Illegal extraction of minerals: Police seizes four vehicles, arrests as many persons in Baramulla
Srinagar: Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police have seized four vehicles and arrested four persons in Baramulla, a police spokesman said Tuesday.
He said that a police party seized four Tippers and arrested four drivers at Chakloo Baramulla for their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals. The accused drivers have been identified as Abdul Majeed Lone son of Mohammad Ramzan Lone resident of Zenipora Bomai Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Nabi Dar resident of Jal Sheeri, Ghulam Nabi Khan son of Jameel Ahmad Khan resident of Khanpora Baramulla and Mushtaq Ahmad Lone son of Ghulam Ahmad Lone resident of Khawajabagh Baramulla.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Baramulla and investigation set into motion.
