Over 600 youth participate in daylong Job Fair at Budgam

Job fairs are a best medium to bring both Job seekers and Job providers together:  Director Employment

BUDGAM: District Employment and Counseling Centre (DE&CC) Budgam/ MCC Budgam with the support of District Administration Budgam Thursday organized a one day Job Fair at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Budgam.

The Job fair was inaugurated by the Director, Employment J&K, Nisar Ahmad Wani in presence of Joint Director Employment Kashmir, Hakeem Tanveer, Principal BHSS Budgam and other dignitaries.

This is for the first time that NCS centre for differently Abled persons Srinagar participated in the fair and registered 4 candidates for rehabilitation.

As many as 12 reputed private companies participated in the job fair to conduct on spot interviews and provide jobs to the unemployed youth of the district.

The companies that participated in the job fair include Future Solutions, Royal International, SBI Life, Win Placement Services Wizkid Educorp, Fairdeal motors, Natural Lifecare Tata Aia life Insurance, Wishfin Technologies and v5 global, Zoonak technologies etc.

Around 600 candidates attended the job Fair out of which 201 candidates got registered themselves on spot on the Employment Department’s J&K portal.

As many as 48 candidates were shortlisted for various jobs on the spot by job providing companies.

Wiz kid educorp registered 210 candidates for the skill training program.

There was an overwhelming response from the candidates.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director Employment said such kind of Job fairs will be conducted in other parts of the valley in future where National, multinational and reputed companies participate and provide job opportunities to the maximum number of unemployed youth.

He urged youth to register themselves on the concerned portal to get ample opportunities to participate in these fairs and avail job offers at their door steps.
