Renew registration or face action, authorities to private schools in Pulwama
Pulwama: Authorities in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district have directed private schools to complete renewal of their registration process within given time or face action.
An official of the school education department said that the registration of the most of the private schools in the district has already expired while their renewal is under process.
He said that registrations of around 159 schools have expired including 30 in education zone Pulwama, 17 in Awantipora, 21 in Kakapora, 29 in Pampore, 15 in Shadimarg, 24 in Tahab, 16 in Tral and 09 in Lurgam zone.
He added that two schools fall in unrecognized category while there are five schools which are yet to submit documents for verification.
Most of the schools have already submitted documents for renewal of their registration, however, their registration is pending as some of them have land and affiliation issues.
He added that there are around 50 private schools which are having proper registrations and despite given ample time, they are resorting to dilly dally tactics.
“We have time and again served notices to private schools for completing the renewal of their registration and now again grace period has been given to them,”he said.
“Once grace period will be over, there will be no option other than to act tough against the ichschool who fail to complete their renewal of registration process,” he added.
