Train accident can’t be tolerated
Letter to the Editor
Dear Sir,
According to report the collision of three trains which ended up in over 288 people deaths and over 1200 were injuries no human being will ever digest this sorrow. Signal failure is a clear case of railway officials’ negligence, which can’t be tolerated under any circumstances.
According to an initial investigation, coromandel Express received a signal to enter the main line, but it was disregarded, causing it to enter the loop line instead, where it collided with a goods train that was waiting there.
Another thing there was no Kavach system implemented on this route. In order to fulfill the goal of zero train accidents, railway board across length and breadth of the country should implement the Automatic Train Protection system, aka Kavach as soon as possible at least now onwards.
