Ningli Bala Sopore residents demand basic amenities

Sopore: The residents of Ningli Bala area of Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district rued lack of basic amenities in their area and demanded attention of higher-ups in this regard.

Despite the locality being barely two and half kilometers away from main town Sopore, it lacks on most of the civic amenities, the locals said.

While expressing deep concern, the residents said that the locality is facing acute shortage of drinking water, poor drainage facility and dilapidated inner link roads causing immense hardships to the inhabitants.

“The area has been neglected by the consecutive governments and nobody seems to be taking our issues seriously,” the locals said.

They said that they have repeatedly brought these issues in notice of higher ups several times but on ground nothing has been done.

Residents said that they are facing acute shortage of drinking water facility in the area since years.

They added that during this holy month of Ramadhan there is no water available for worshipers in our mosques.

The residents further said that whenever it rains water logging is reported in the area as there is no drainage system in their respective locality.

“Residents are suffering badly and the local administration is least bothered about the worst condition of the locality which is putting lives of people in trouble,” Shabir Ahmad Dar, a local residents said.

The residents appealed the LG Manoj Sinha and district administration Baramulla to resolve their problems so that the sufferings of the people will end.
