Help foundation organizes health camp

Srinagar: ‘HELP’ Foundation Organises Diabetes Check up Camp at Shunglipora, Khag in Collaboration with Health department. Free medicines were distributed and On-spot diagnostic tests conducted during the Camp, a statement issed by the organization said.

The camp was held in collaboration with Block Medical Office, medical block Khag and saw an overwhelming response from the general public.

The BMO office had deputed three doctors for the camp. 207 patients were seen during the one day camp. The elderly patients were given preference and they were particularly scrutinized for lifestyle diseases like diabetes and blood pressure, while as women patients were particularly screened for reproductive health related issues, the statement added.

On-spot diagnostic tests were conducted for diabetes and HBA1C and free medicine and supplements were distributed to the poor and needy patients, it said.

While as in the Eye check up camp, Vision tests were done for all the attendees and elderly persons were scrutinised for cataract disease. The eye camp was conducted by qualified technicians, associated with the HELP Foundation.

170 patients were attended in the General medical checkup/diabetes camp. In which 120 female patients and 50 male patients were attended. While as 37 patients were attended in the Eye check up camp.

The community members in the Shunglipora thanked the HELP Foundation and the local Health officials for organising the camp in their village. Mr. Tahir who represented HELP Foundation said that camp was conducted on the directions of the Chairperson Nighat Shafi Pandit.
