Terrorist killed, two Army men injured in Awantipora encounter: Police
Srinagar, Feb 28: One terrorist has been killed while as two army soldiers were injured in an ongoing encounter at Padgampora area of South Kashmir’s Awantipora on Tuesday, police said.
Sources said that one terrorist has been killed in an ongoing encounter, however the identity of the ultra is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, two army troopers also received bullet wounds in the gunfight, who have been subsequently shifted to hospital for further treatment.
Earlier, reports said that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Padgampora.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
