Police seizes illicit timber in Baramulla, three held
Srinagar: Police in Baramulla seized illicit timber and arrested three accused persons involved in the crime.
A police party arrested three persons identified as Mohammad Rafiq Poswal son of Umer Din, Ishtiyaq Ahmad Thakria son of Mohammad Sageer and Abdul Hamid Paswal son of Mohi-u-Din, all residents of Gowhallan and recovered illicit forest timber measuring about 45 CFt from their possession at Gowhallan Uri, a police spokesman said.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Uri and investigation has been initiated, the spokesman added.
