DGP sanctions Rs 1.29 Cr retirement gift for Police personnel
Jammu: The Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh has sanctioned a retirement gift of Rs 1.29 crore for around 129 Police personnel of J&K Police who retired from services on January 31.
The gift was sanctioned as a token of appreciation for their services to the department.
The gift was sanctioned in favour of six gazetted officers, ninety-two non gazetted officers, twenty-five lower subordinates and six followers.
“These personnel belong to different units and wings of the department,” the spokesman said.
A retirement gift of Rs one lakh each is sanctioned to police personnel from the Contributory Police Welfare Fund at the time of his/her retirement.
“The gift serves as a token of appreciation for his/her services rendered to the department,” the spokesman said.
