Idara Tehqeeku Adab JK holds women’s poetry event
Srinagar: The Idara Tehqeeku Adab JK on Saturday conducted an online Women’s poetry event on its official Watsapp group.
This event was presided over by Rukhsana Jabeen the distinguished poet of subcontinent while Shabnum Showkat shared the presidium with her as chief guest.
Two prominent women poets Dr Samina Wani and Fouzia Mughal participated in the event as guest of honours.
Taranum Shaheen presented her welcome address and also deliberated upon the events and developments of the literary organisation.
Poets who recited their poetry creations include Ishrat Shareef, Ishrat Gull, Yasmeen Shadab, Shaista Bukhari ,Shaista shafaq, Neelofer Khan, Rumoz Bekhudi, Shabeena Ara Pathan, Rehana kowsar, Dr Sameena Wani, Fouzia Mughal and Rukhsana Jabeen.
Speaking at the occasion Dr Shabnum Showkat and Fouzia Mughal appropriated all participants for their lovely creations and lauded the role of ITAJK for organising such events.
In her presidential address Rukhsana Jabeen applauded all the women poets and lauded the role of literary organisations for contributing to the development of language and literature.
Later, a young English poetess and official member of the organisation Neelofer Khan presented the vote of thanks.
Proceedings of this whole event was moderated by Rutba Qureshi.
Chief invigilator of the event and president of Idara Tehqeeku Adab Farooq Shaheen thanked all participants and gave a clue about some future programmes of the organisation.
