Vehicles challaned for violating rules at Bandipora
BANDIPORA: The Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO) Bandipora Bilal Ahamd on Thursday conducted a surprise inspection of vehicles on Bandipora-Srinagar road.
The inspection was held along with a squad of concerned officials of the department.
ARTO said that Bike and Scooty riders have been challaned for traffic violations for triple riding and not wearing helmets.
Also, two scotties were seized during the inspection as well.
ARTO said checking of vehicles was carried with special focus on installation of Speed limiting devices, overloading and checking of required documents.
He said around 75 vehicles were checked and Rs. 25500 were recovered from the offenders and documents of the number of vehicles were also seized.
He said 15 vehicles were also blacklisted for violation of rules and urged the public to follow the rules and regulations besides maintaining necessary documents of their vehicles.
