JD reviews CBC progress for financial year 2022-23

Jammu: The Joint Director (JD) Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) J&K and Ladakh Region Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India Ghulam Abbas on Tuesday reviewed physical and financial progress of CBC Regional Office.

The officer also took a review of field offices across J&K and Ladakh Region.

The review was taken in a meeting convened through virtual mode.

During the meeting JD discussed administrative and financial matters with the officers and officials of CBC Regional office and its field offices.

He stressed that officials must organize the remaining Integrated and Outreach Communication Programmes (ICOPs) as per the annual action plan.

Joint Director was apprised by the Programme Section of CBC Regional Office that till date out of allotted 20 Mini ICOPS, 18 Mini ICOPS had been completed & 3 small ICOPs done out of 12. Four Mediums ICOPS have been completed out of 8 allotted and the target of three big ICOPs has already been achieved till ending December, 2022.

The Accounts section of CBC Regional Office apprised the chair that more than 60 percent expenditure has been incurred out of total budget allotted for the outreach programmes under DCID head till ending December, 2022.

Field Publicity Officer CBC Anantnag Shahid Mohammad Lone informed that the one medium ICOP at Kupwara is scheduled in 2nd week of January, 2023 while remaining programmes allotted to his office will be completed soon.

Field Publicity Officer CBC Udhampur Khursheed Yousuf  and in-charge CBC Poonch Vijay Mattoo apprised the chair about some administrative matters related to their respective offices for immediate attention.

Yousuf informed the meeting that Field Office Udhampur had completed all allotted programmes and only one small ICOP is pending that will be organized in the first week of February, 2023.

In-charge CBC Srinagar Sikander informed that due to breakdown of the office vehicle, the office was facing issues related to the field work.

Abass directed that Field Office Srinagar may use the office vehicle of CBC Anantnag and the scheduled ICOPs in the districts of Srinagar and Budgam districts may be allotted to Field Office Srinagar and must start the spade work.

Joint Director passed instructions to in-charge CBC Doda Vikram Uppal that fixation and spade work for one Mini ICOP be started soon and directed the programme section for necessary action at Regional level.

Joint Director gave a patient hearing to the issues faced by the field officials and said that all issues will be addressed in a phased manner. He directed all field officials that all the allotted programmes must be completed till February ending.
