Blue line FC lifts Shaheed Nisar Ahmad Lone Football Championship
Sopore: Blue Line Football Club on Wednesday lifted Shaheed Nisar Ahmad Lone memorial Football Championship trophy by defeating Sports line academy Football cClub Sopore by 1-0.
DIG CRPF Baramulla Sanjay Yadav was chief guest on the occasion, besides ADC Sopore Parvaiz Sajad, SSP Sopore Shabir Nawab, and Commanding officer 179 bn CRPF were also present during this final match played at Subhan Stadium here.
DIG CRPF gave away the awards to winning players.
The winning team was awarded a cash prize of Rs 15000 and a trophy while the runner up team was given a cash prize of Rs 10000.
Eight teams from sub division Sopore participated in the four days long tournament played at Subhan Stadium here.
Zeeshan Ahmad of Blue Line Football Club was adjudged as the Man of the Tournament while Tajamul Ahmad of Sopore Legends Football Club was adjudged as the Best Goal Keeper of the tournament and were given trophies and prizes.
Speaking on the occasion DIG Sanjay Yadav congratulated the winning team and also thanked the 179 battalion CRPF for organising the tournament in the town.
He said such tournaments provide an opportunity to the local youth to showcase their talent and channelise their energy in a positive way.
