Three terrorists killed in Sidhra, Jammu encounter, searches on: Police
Jammu, Dec 28: Three terrorists were killed in a brief encounter that broke out in Sidra area of Jammu district on Wednesday morning, police said here.
An official said that the encounter broke out in Sidra area today morning following specific input about the presence of militants in the area.
He said during the ensuing encounter three unidentified terrorists were killed, while searches were still going on.
Meanwhile, additional director general of police Jammu division, Mukesh Sing said they noticed unusual movement of a truck and followed it.
“Truck was stopped at Sidhra where the driver managed to flee. When the truck was searched the terrorists hiding inside, fired on the personnel, which was retaliated to,” he said.
He further said the encounter was over and three ultras were gunned down.
“They were heavily armed but have been neutralised,” he said.
