Shahoora T20: Gymkhana Pulwama clinches trophy
Srinagar: The final match of Shahoora T20 knockout cricket tournament was played on Saturday between Jamakhana Pulwama and Machpuna 11 in Sports Stadium Pulwama.
The tournament was organised by Bahar Adab Shahoora, Department of Youth Services and Sports and district administration Pulwama.
In the final, Gymkhana Pulwama won the trophy by defeating the opposite team.
Chairman Municipal Committee Pulwama Bilal Ahmed, District Officer of Youth Services and Sports Department were present at the closing ceremony of the final match.
A large number of spectators from the district were also present to witness the final match of the tournament.
After the culmination of the match, trophies and prizes were distributed among the winning and runner-up teams.
The teams and players who showed the best performance in the tournament were also awarded prizes and certificates.
On the occasion, the chief guest also awarded certificates to many people associated with the media.
In his address, Chief Guest Bilal Ahmed Rather said that there was no shortage of talent in Pulwama district but the need of the hour was to provide a right direction to the youth.
Around 24 teams from Pulwama and Shahoora tehsils participated in the tournament.
The tournament, commenced on October 25 and was inaugurated by District Development Council Chairman Syed Bari Andrabi.
