15 days Training programme ‘Profitable Poultry Rearing’ kick-starts at Budgam
BUDGAM: The Krishi Vigyan Kendra Budgam SKUAST-K on Friday kick-started a 15 days skill development programme for employment generation on Profitable Poultry Rearing.
The event is being organised in collaboration with the Animal Husbandry Department Budgam.
The training is being conducted under Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP) 2022-23 for Surasyar and Pakherpora blocks of the district Budgam to build entrepreneurial mindset among the youth and develop their skills so that they can launch their own business ventures.
A total of 48 participants from both the aspirational blocks attended the inaugural function.
Speaking on the occasion Senior Scientist and Head KVK Budgam Dr.Beenish Shakeel, discussed the importance of this training programme for upliftment of the farming community.
Poultry Development Officer Budgam Dr. Mohammad Amin Thokar, talked about the role of the Animal husbandry department in socio economic upliftment of the people who are associated with this sector.
Earlier, Scientist Animal Science KVK Budgam and training coordinator Dr. Mir Nadeem Hassan gave a detailed overview of the skill development programme, its purpose and the procedure for the training.
The programme was also attended by Scientists of the Kendra and Veterinary Assistant Surgeons of Animal Husbandry Department Budgam.
