Shahid Hilal bags bronze medal at SNPS Championship
Srinagar: Shahid Hilal of the Grand Warriors Academy Srinagar has bagged the bronze medal in the 10th Senior (Men and Women) National Pencak Silat Championship (SNPS) 2022.
The championship was held from October 22 to 24 at the Sheri Kashmir Indoor Stadium in Srinagar.
Under the auspices of the Indian Pencak Silat Association, the Pencak Silat Association of J&K organised the championship, and was sponsored by J&K Sports Council.
In his weight category, Shahid Hilal finished third among competitors from 34 States and UTs, as well as from teams from the Indian Police and Paramilitary.
“Playing in the Senior National Pencak Silat Championship 2022 was a great experience as I have moved from Junior to senior age category,” he said.
Hilal is now planning to start his preparations for the next championship and aims for a gold medal at international level.
Shahid Hilal attributes his achievement to his parents, who helped him at every turn. He also showed gratitude to his trainer, Adil Hussain.
This event had over 1200 players from various Indian states.
Meanwhile, Adil Hussain expressed his gratitude to Jazzbaat 24 for sponsoring Shahid Hilal Malik for the senior national championship.
