DC Gbl inaugurates 5 days JKBS&G programme at Youth Hostel
GANDERBAL: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal Shyambir on Monday inaugurated a five days State Level Camporee 2022 being organized by the J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides, State HQ Srinagar at Sonamarg, here
Around 300 young boys (Scouts) and girls (Guides) from 12 districts across J&K are taking part in this 5 days’ fun and learning camporee.
The camp is aimed to witness cultural exchange, National integration, self-confidence, skill development and overall mental, physical and emotional strength.
The inaugural ceremony was held in Youth Hostel Sonamarg premises where Chief Guest and other dignitaries witnessed and cherished welcome songs, Dogri folk songs, Kashmiri Rouf and other activities.
Addressing the Scouts and Guides, DC appreciated and lauded the voluntary services rendered by the world’s largest uniformed youth movement of Scouting.
He assured all the help and support from the administration in nurturing and strengthening the mission of J&K Bharat Scouts and Guides.
The DC also paid a visit to the residential camps of all the Scouts and Guides of all the districts and assessed the facilities being available there.
