Pulwama: The residents of Rathsuna in Tral hamlet of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday complained of slow pace of work going on at a bridge constructed in the area.

The locals said their area has remained disconnected from the rest of the town.

The residents said they provided their costly land for construction of road to have proper connectivity with Tral town and a road was already constructed in the area.

“Despite construction of a bridge, our area is yet to get connected with the town through this road as a bridge on nallah Watal Ara is yet to be completed,” they said.

Locals said they brought the issue into the notice of higher ups repeatedly but nothing was done on ground so far.

“Officials assured several times that work will be started soon but such assurances proved a hoax on ground,” the residents said.

The residents urged the higher ups to look into the matter and construct the bridge at an earliest.
