Encounter breaks out in Kulgam village in south Kashmir
Kulgam, Sep 27: An encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in Awhatoo village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Tuesday.
An official said that a joint of team of police, Army and CRPF after receiving information about the presence of terrorists launched search operation in the area.
He said that as the joint team of forces intensified searches towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon them, which was retaliated and triggering an encounter.
Meanwhile, the entire area has been cordoned off and more reinforcements are being rushed to the encounter site.
