Srinagar, Sep 26: J&K Yateem Foundation has received complaints that some imposters while roaming in schools, offices and business establishments are demanding donations in the name of JKYF, a statement issued by the organization said.

“This organisation from its inception has core policy matter not to practice stray or door to door collection and has vehemently discouraged and campaigned against this detesting practice,” the statement said.

It said that these unscrupulous elements are particularly active in few pockets of District Shopian and Budgam.

“Recently these elements have visited a school at Chararshrief and asked for donations from the students which is highly condemnable and unacceptable,” the JKYF statement added.

J&K Yateem Foundation has requested general public to remain vigilant and cautious from such elements.

Chairman Mohammad Rafiq Lone has appealed general people not to pay a penny to any such unscrupulous element begging in the name of JKYF, the statement said.

The chairman also requested general donors and contributors to communicate identity of such persons to the nearest bonafide District Offices so that legal action shall be taken against such unscrupulous elements, it said.
