Will rectify issue in coming two three days: BMO

Anantnag: The electric fault at Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Sallar area of Anantnag district has badly hit the functioning of the health care institute, leaving the doctors and the patients high and dry.
Locals said the electric fault at the hospital has left many services defunct due to which people visiting the hospital, particularly during night hours, are made to suffer.
“Due to an electrical fault at PHC, the doctors have to work under mobile lights during night and it takes time to find the item required for patients,” the locals said.
A staff member posted at PHC said the emergency service was badly hit and any delay in restoration of the electricity can prove fatal.
“During night hours, the patient care gets affected as the inventor also gets down due to continuous fault in the electric line,” the staff member said, wishing not to be named.
Locals said that it was a shame that authorities have failed to clear the fault in the last two months.
“It is not a big deal to rectify the issue if authorities will be serious regarding it but it seems they are least bothered about it,” a local said.
They said the issue was brought to the notice of authorities repeatedly but to no avail. The resident demanded intervention of DC and CMO in this regard
Meanwhile, concerned BMO Dr Naseer when contacted said that it was an internal fault and it took time in locating it.
“But it will be rectified within 2-3 days,” he said.
