One terrorist killed in Shopian encounter
Shopian, Sep 12: A terrorist has been killed in a gunfight that broke out between them and government forces at Heff Shirmal area of Zainapora area in south Kashmir’s Shopian district, officials said on Monday.
They said that a joint team of police, Army and CRPF after receiving information about the presence of terrorists launched search operation in the area.
He said that as the joint team of forces intensified searches towards suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the party, which was retaliated, thus triggering an encounter.
He said during exchange of fire, one ultra has been killed while as the operation is on in the area—(KNO)
