Gameraj Tral residents demand macadamisation of road

Pulwama: The residents of Gameraj area in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday demanded macadamisation of their road.
The residents said that main road connecting the area with Tral town has not been macadamised since last several years and it is in dilapidated condition adding to the sufferings of people.
“Minor link roads are being macadamised everywhere but due to unknown reasons our road which is connecting over two hundreds of households has been left unattended,” Said Showkat Ahmad, a local resident.
He said that the road is connecting many villages with each other besides it was main road connecting the area with town which is just two kilometers from the town.
Sartaj Bhat another local said the school going children and patients are suffering due to dilapidated condition of the road.
He said that work on road was started before two years but it has been left mid way due to unknown reasons due to which they are suffering
He said locals have been visiting offices of concerned authorities who assure road will be repaired but the verbal assurances prove a hoax on ground.
The locals said that they suffer in case of emergencies as road has developed big potholes, giving a tough time to the locals.
The residents urged the concerned authorities to look into the matter at an earliest and macadamise the road so that locals can heave a sigh of relief.
